As founder and CBO (Chief Bargains Officer) of Bargains Group (BG), Jody Steinhauer has mobilized her award-winning discount wholesale and promotional products company to revolutionize the social impact landscape.
Jody uses her network of resources and leveraged buying power to aid every company and non-profit (NFP) agency/charity that she touches to maximize their buying dollar. Since 1988, Jody has grown BG from her Toronto apartment living room to a multi-million dollar-a-year business.
Pioneering her belief of “giving back makes GREAT business sense”, Jody is a tireless NFP advocate, and the founder of the charity Engage and Change and its annual mid-January effort to help the homeless in the GTA - Project Winter Survival - launched in 1999 and now in its 27th year. Her true key to success - aka her ‘special sauce’ - is Jody’s inspirational leadership in engaging and motivating people of all ages to donate their time to their local community by coming together to assemble winter survival kits.
Jody's latest initiative, Kits For A Cause (KFAC), is a social enterprise dedicated to providing a purposeful engagement program to groups/teams locally and globally, by matching them to charities in need. KFAC is the global leader of Employee Engagement & Team Building for Impact with clients including Amazon, Meta, Starbucks, United Way, as well as leading Banks, Insurance, Pharma and many others throughout Canada, the US and the UK.
Recognized as a thought-leader and impact matchmaker, Jody frequently speaks
at conferences, conventions, and on podcasts around the globe on topics such
as employee engagement, active philanthropy, and many more.
Jody is a multi-award-winning business leader, mentor, speaker and author,
