Lystra Sam is a cultural curator, entrepreneur, and founder of Qmooniti Travel & Lifestyle, an award winning, B Corp certified travel brand established in 2017. Drawing on more than three decades of global exploration and over a decade of international living, she creates transformative and inclusive travel and retreat experiences that center Black, Indigenous, people of colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and solo femme identifying travelers.

With a background in Psychology, Women’s Studies, and Business Management, and certifications in Community Capacity Building and the Trauma of Money Method, Lystra blends academic frameworks with ancestral knowledge to design spaces that foster justice, healing, equity, and belonging. Her work spans four continents and includes partnerships with organizations such as Microsoft, lululemon, LUSH, Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week, and the Vancouver Foundation.

She is also the founder of Sisters Leading Sisters, a mentorship initiative inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu.

Qmooniti’s next chapter is devoted to legacy work: designing travel & lifestyle experiences that continue to educate, liberate, illuminate, and leave a lasting imprint on culture through several media mediums that elevate OUR Qmooniti/Community stories.
