Monika Marcovici works at the intersection of business, sustainability, and social impact, helping companies unlock their potential to be a force for good. With a background spanning technology, digital media, and sustainability strategy, Monika has spent her career building initiatives that connect business success with positive environmental and social outcomes.
She began her career in Europe working with high-tech companies such as Apple before moving to Vancouver, where she founded an early digital communications firm in the 1990s that developed the first online strategies and websites for organizations such as the BC Yellow Pages and ICBC.
Seeking closer alignment between her work and her values, she founded Greenworx Inc., supporting organizations in developing, implementing and communicating their sustainability initiatives.
Over time, her work expanded beyond sustainability to helping businesses discover, articulate and implement their own unique social purpose, leading up to her work with the Social Purpose Institute.
She is also the co-founder and former Executive Director of Board of Change, a Vancouver business network dedicated to advancing an economic model that values social and environmental sustainability alongside profit.
She currently serves as Director of Partnerships on the Executive Board of Brands for Better, where she helps build partnerships connecting businesses and nonprofits through skills based collaborations that accelerate positive social and environmental impact.
Born in Vienna, Monika holds a Systems Design Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and is fluent in English, French, and German.
