"My greater purpose is to help solve the world’s most pressing social problems. I founded Impakt to challenge the status quo and prove that purpose and profit can go hand in hand. Through the Impakt Foundation, we co-create programs with refugees to help newcomers thrive. With the Impakt Forum, I’m building a global community committed to action—not just talk—so that together, we can create a world where everyone belongs."

My greater purpose is to help make the world a better place by contributing to solving the world’s most pressing social problems.

I founded Impakt in 2001 to challenge the status quo of corporate responsibility and redefine the role of business in driving positive change. Long before CSR, ESG and sustainability entered the lexicon, I believed that purpose and profitability were not opposing forces, but essential ingredients to positive, progressive change.

The Impakt Foundation for Social Change was established to help refugees and other newcomers succeed in Canada. Our organization operates on the principle of - For Newcomers, By Newcomers - and is co-creating programs that refugees need to thrive in Canada.

As a writer for Forbes, and in my book Change for Good, I share the stories of courageous leaders who are proving that having a greater purpose is good for people, the planet and for business.

This year, I launched the Impakt Forum—a global community where business, civil society, and academic leaders don’t just talk about change, but act on it. The inaugural gathering this October will be an opportunity to co-create solutions, build new partnerships and identify pilot projects that will be shared with the global community of impact leaders after the gathering.

This is more than work—it’s a commitment to a greater purpose to a world where everyone belongs, and where leadership is measured not just by what we build, but by what we make better.
