Renee focuses on understanding and challenging harmful dynamics embedded into digital and AI systems that enable individual and societal harm. Through policy innovation, public engagement and prosocial design, we reimagine healthy digital and AI futures free of manipulation, where systems help us thrive in the pursuit of human aspirations. Prior to GoodBot, Renee was the founding Executive Director of PeaceGeeks, a nonprofit working at the intersection of technology and conflict. Renee holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie and a Masters in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa. She is a United Nations fellow and a 2017 winner of the Google Impact Award.
